Located in the Coastal Mountains of Canada, Whistler is renowned for its world-class skiing, breathtaking outdoor adventures, and vibrant village life. However, beyond the slopes lies a hidden gem for golf enthusiasts- a golfer's paradise waiting to be discovered.

Whistler's golf courses are just something different. Imagine teeing off against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks, gorgeous lakes, and forests – an experience that blends the thrill of the game with the calm of nature. And from time to time you might even see wildlife cross the field.

Whistler Golf Club – Golf action without having to leave the Village

The Whistler Golf Club, right across the street of the Village, offers a great golfing experience for players of all skill levels. Designed by Arnold Palmer himself, this 18-hole course provided a challenging but enjoyable round for golfers. Conveniently, The Whistler Gold Club is also located right next to the Aava Whistler Hotel – enjoy watching the driving range from your hotel room (upgrade to one of our suites on the top floor for the best views!) or take a quick walk to the Clubhouse to start your 18-hole game.

Nicklaus North Golf Course – Where you come to play golf, but you stay for the views

For those seeking a truly unforgettable golfing experience, the Nicklaus North Golf Course awaits. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, this signature course offers a perfect blend of challenge and beauty. Set against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks and the shiny waters of Green Lake, each hole at Nicklaus North is a work of art, crafted to test your skills while enjoying nature.

Golf is not the only thing Nicklaus North has to offer. Enjoy watching the seaplanes take off, or book yourself a tour and see Whistler from above! After sightseeing or playing golf, enjoy a beverage on the iconic Table Nineteen patio (Something about the 19th hole), overlooking the mountains and the lake.

Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club – A challenging round while embracing nature

Just a little out of the main Village, you will find the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. this golf course challenges the golfer to conquer natural obstacles. This golf club is challenging but fun for all levels, and is on top of this Audubon certified – showing the club’s commitment to environmental quality. We recommend adding this course to your golf itinerary in Whistler!

For the ones that can’t get enough – The courses on the way to your next destination

While Whistler offers three courses to enjoy within less than 10 minutes out of the Village, we understand the desire to explore golf courses on the way to your next destination, or as a stop before you are back home. 30 minutes north of Whistler in Pemberton, you will find both Sunstone Golf Club as well as Big Sky Golf Club. Both have an amazing mountain backdrop, and cannot be missed in a golf itinerary if making your way further inland.

45 minutes south of Whistler, in Squamish one will find Squamish Valley Golf Club as well as Furry Creek Golf & Country Club. Both have a unique view where one can enjoy a challenging round of golf, while being in the rugged terrain of the Coastal Mountains. No favorites here, just play them all!
