Pay Transparency

British Columbia’s Pay Transparency Act introduces requirements for employers to be more open about compensation. This includes sharing wage details in job advertisements, as well as publishing annual reports that track progress in closing gender-based pay differences.

Organizations that meet specific workforce thresholds are required to release these reports by November 1 annually. The phased rollout is designed to encourage accountability by making gender pay gap data visible to the public, driving fairness across workplaces.
